Three Bartlesville High School students competed at the International Science and Engineering Fair at Atlanta, Georgia in May 2022. Their projects, which advanced from the Bartlesville District Science Fair, are linked below:
- Mehdi Achour: How Can Orange Peels Help Plants Resist Drought?
- Rachel Cochran: Greener Concrete and Cleaner Oceans
- Joyce Yang: Emergency Savings Fund vs. Emergency Relief Fund: An Economic Model
Rachel received a Missouri S&T summer camp scholarship, Mehdi received the USAID Science for Development's First Place Award in Agriculture and Food Security, and Joyce also received extra attention from judges for her project.
The students were accompanied to the competition by their teacher sponsors, Gary Layman and Tonya Knollmeyer. Ms. Knollmeyer shared, "There were kids from everywhere, and ours were great!"
