GED
All GED diplomas and transcripts are obtained through Parchment.
To take the GED™ exam, you must register through GED™ Testing Service. Only those 16 years of age and above are eligible to test. This site will give you information about the test, supply links to practice tests and study guides, and walk you through the steps necessary to take the GED™ exam, such as:
Register an account.
Select a Pearson VUE Authorized Testing Center location (there is one in Bartlesville at the Education Service Center at 1100 S. Jennings).
Schedule a day and time for testing.
There are four sections to the GED exam: Reasoning through Language Arts, Mathematical Reasoning, Social Studies, and Science. Each section has a cost of $34.
Pay for your exam with a credit or debit card.
To be able to test at your scheduled day & time, be sure to bring your government-issued photo identification card (valid driver's license, driver's permit, photo ID, military ID, or passport). This is mandatory and you will not be permitted to test without it.
To obtain a photo ID, please visit the Oklahoma Dept. of Motor Vehicles for more information. You will need at least two different forms of identification, such as a Social Security Card and a birth certificate to apply for an Oklahoma ID card.
If you are a minor (16-17 years of age), you must have a 16- and 17-year-old form filled out, signed, and notarized by the principal of the high school in which school district you reside. This form must be on file with the testing center before being allowed to schedule an exam.
The tests are scored by a computer and results are usually available within 3 hours, but could take overnight. Your results will be posted on your GED.com account.
