The expansion project at Ranch Heights Elementary continued at a steady pace throughout December 2024. A large portion of the west addition will be early childhood classrooms built to eventually serve as an all-school storm shelter. Framing and in-wall rough-in of that area is complete. Brick veneer and window installation are underway.
To the north of that, structural steel for the future art and music rooms is complete. Site demolition and earthwork began over Winter Break for the addition's north connector, and foundation work is underway for the future elevator for the classrooms above the cafeteria to the east. January 2025 marks the start of roofing, drywall, sheathing at the south connector, and in-wall rough-in of the art and music rooms.
