In Bartlesville's first appearance at the State FFA Interscholastics contest, Haley King was 1st, Mia Merciez was 4th, and Adysen Grindle was 6th in the Agricultural Communications Career Development Event, making the Bartlesville team the state champions in that category. Bartlesville will represent the Oklahoma FFA at the National FFA Contest.
These members will be recognized at the State FFA Convention in OKC on Wednesday during the Fourth General Session, which is available via livestream at http://convention.okffa.org/
In the past two years, the new Bartlesville agricultural education program has now earned two state titles. We expect that district voters will have an opportunity in August to vote on a bond issue that will include building an agriculture center southeast of the Bartlesville High School campus.
