The expansion of Wayside Elementary School is complete, and an expansion of Ranch Heights Elementary School will be completed in the summer of 2025. Those expansions will allow for changes in the elementary and middle school attendance boundaries in August 2025 to minimize class sizes and accommodate the continuing development of housing additions near Wayside as well as within Wilson’s boundary to the north of Sooner Golf Course.
The linked document shows the existing boundaries on the first page, highlights the changes on the second page, and shows the revised boundaries for August 2025 on the third page:
The adjusted boundaries follow mile section lines and end splitting some neighborhoods across two different schools. The staff at Ranch Heights Elementary look forward to serving some students currently served by Wayside and Hoover. The staff at Hoover Elementary look forward to serving some students currently served by Wilson. The staff at Madison Middle School anticipate serving some students currently served by Central.
Ranch Heights Boundary Change
The attendance boundaries for Ranch Heights will expand south of Barlow Drive to include all of the residences in the two square miles bounded on the west by Washington Boulevard (Highway 75), on the east by Bison Road, and on the south by Price Road. That means all students in the Rolling Hills, Southern Hills, Sivalls Heights, Crestview Heights, Phil-Acres, and the Mueller Addition will be assigned to Ranch Heights Elementary School and Madison Middle School.
If you have a student who will be reassigned to Ranch Heights, Principal Chanda Myers would be happy to speak with you about the change, arrange a tour of the school, etc. You can reach her at 918-333-3810 or at MyersCM@bps-ok.org.
If you have a fifth grader now attending Wayside or a sixth or seventh grader who lives east of Washington Boulevard and north of Price Road, in August 2025 your child will be assigned to Madison Middle School instead of Central. Madison Principal Joey Eidson would be happy to speak with you, arrange a tour, etc. at 918-333-4444 or at EidsonJE@bps-ok.org.
Hoover Boundary Change
The attendance boundaries for Hoover will expand northwest to reach Tuxedo Boulevard and Washington Boulevard (Highway 75). That means all students in the Robert E. Lee, Nancy Sas, Lawn View, Lloyd, Sooner Heights, Sunview, Hall Acres, and Will Rogers Heights additions, and those living in the Highland Park Addition east of Washington Boulevard, will be assigned to Hoover Elementary School and Madison Middle School.
If you have a student who will be reassigned to Hoover, Principal Tiffany Holmes would be happy to speak with you about the change, arrange a tour, etc. You can reach her at 918-333-9337 or at HolmesTD@bps-ok.org.
Options
As with past changes in elementary attendance boundaries, the district will attempt to accommodate parents who would like for a student who has been reassigned to continue to attend their current school. While bus transportation would no longer be available, if there is capacity at the current school and the parent can arrange transportation, then a transfer request would be honored. We ask parents wishing to explore this option to first contact the principal of the newly assigned school: Principal Myers at Ranch Heights Elementary School, Principal Holmes at Hoover Elementary School, or Principal Eidson at Madison Middle School.
Enrollment & Bus Routes
When all students enroll in the spring of 2025 via PowerSchool for the 2025-2026 academic year, the new boundaries will apply. However, the online My Ride system at BPSBUS.ORG which shows bus stops and routes will continue to show existing bus routes and stops based on the old attendance boundaries until June 2025. In June 2025, My Ride will be updated with the new boundaries, routes, and bus stops.
We appreciate your patience and understanding in this effort to ensure that we accommodate developing neighborhoods while minimizing class sizes and making the most efficient use of available classroom space. We look forward to continuing to serve you and your children in our mission of educating and enriching lives.
